An X/Twitter user is calling out Toyota after claiming that the company was “responsible for my dad’s sudden death.”

In an emotional thread, the man says that his father, a man named Diego Garcia, was killed as a result of an accident at the company’s Georgetown, Kentucky plant. News reports verify this information.

“We are working closely and cooperating fully with all agencies and investigations into the incident,” Toyota officials said in a statement at the time. “Words cannot express our sadness for our fellow team member, and our deepest sympathies go to his loved ones.”

However, if this X/Twitter user is to be believed, the company didn’t cooperate as much as they would like one to believe.

At one point in the thread, the user accuses the company of “destroy[ing] evidence” and “withhold[ing] video footage” along with showing a general lack of compassion throughout the grieving process.

Other users soon hopped in to share their own Toyota experiences.

While OP hasn’t made many of the specifics clear, he claimed in one post that he and his family have been “legally fighting this for a year.” Here’s hoping the family gets justice — lord knows Toyota’s associated with enough bad stuff already.
